Abstract
Permeability is a crucial parameter in petrophysical analysis, and errors in its calculation can affect reservoir planning and well placement optimization. Various equations have been used to calculate permeability through a number of parameters. Therefore, this study aims to determine the most effective method in permeability calculation so that the data generated can identify potentially high productivity zones, so that development in Field X can be more focused. The research was conducted on five wells and six formations, but only three formations had core data using Geolog software. The methods used include core transform, single regression, multiple regression, and Coates-Dumanoir. The results show that the multiple regression method provides the highest accuracy of core data with a correlation coefficient of 0.751755, due to the addition of a parameter in the form of VSH which helps in the identification of shale zones. In contrast, the Coates- Dumanoir method, which uses a W value of 1.76 and a CD constant of 300, shows the lowest correlation coefficient of 0.621800. These results emphasize the importance of using appropriate parameters, such as VSH, to improve the accuracy of permeability calculations in Field X. Keywords: core permeability, transform, single regression, multiple regression, coates-dumanoir
