Abstract
In the field of information technology, augmented reality technology is a new system that combines real and virtual visuals. There are many areas of life where augmented reality (AR) applications have been used. In this case, the physical world (actual items) and the digital world are merged without altering the shape of the physical object, and information about the object is displayed using object recognition (text and photos), as a cognitive system that fully understands the user's perception. Currently, children learn about various professions through the use of printed books or online content that presents information about various professions with two-dimensional object visuals. Therefore, the use of augmented reality technology in learning media for introducing various professions will help the self-learning process in children. This study aims to apply augmented reality technology as an effective and efficient learning media. This learning media runs on the android operating system using markerless techniques. Through a series of tests conducted, the application can run according to the commands if performed in the correct order, and the index value obtained from user testing reaches 93%, so this application can be implemented as a learning media for children using augmented reality technology.
