The analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive qualitative and multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the community around Karimun Island tourism objects has diverse socio-economic characteristics. For the type of business, only six out of ten tourist attractions on Karimun Island have a developed type of tourism business, and generally the type of business is food and beverage services. In terms of labor absorption, only eight out of ten tourist attractions on Karimun Island absorb labor and the labor comes from the surrounding community.
