Abstract
Flooding is one of the problems in the Air Hitam sub-watershed. Factors that cause flooding in the Air Hitam sub-watershed are rainfall, drainage systems, population growth, and increasing land use so that open land turns into closed land. The purpose of this study was to obtain the level of flood vulnerability and direction for handling floods in the Air Hitam sub-watershed in Pekanbaru City. Flood vulnerability will be the basis for handling directives, so that handling directives can reduce the level of flood vulnerability in the Air Hitam Sub-Wathershed area of Pekanbaru City. Analysis of flood hazard data uses a quantitative descriptive method (using an overlay on arcgis software) while analysis for flood management directives uses the logical framework analysis (LFA) method. The results of flood vulnerability analysis using ArcGIS 10.8 software. the low vulnerability flood area has an area of 1200.609 Ha. The area of the flood hazard level being moderate has an area of 1355.614 Ha. And the flood area with a high level of vulnerability has an area of 882,804 Ha. The results of flood handling directives will be categorized into 2 (two) directives, namely special handling directives and general handling directives. directions for low flood areas use the concept of canal or ditch blocking equipped with water gates. for moderate flood prone areas is to use infiltration wells and biopores For high flood prone areas is to use infiltration wells, and pervious type cement.
