Abstract

SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS OF FERDINAND DE SAUSSURE ON POLITICAL The Shingeki No Kyojin comic contains various political conspiracy phenomena, especially where there is a feud between the Scout Legion who is trying to find the truth about secrets that have been covered up by the royal government and the Military Police which is a picture of a corrupt state apparatus. The purpose of this study is to find out what political conspiracy phenomena are contained in the Shingeki No Kyojin comic. Qualitative research methods with Ferdindand De Saussure's semiotic analysis approach. Data analysis technique uses descriptive method with an intrinsic approach. The political conspiracy phenomena contained in Shingeki No Kyojin Comics are silencing political opponents, twisting facts, scapegoating certain groups, historical manipulation, abuse of power, government control of the media and propaganda. The message conveyed by this comic is that if you want to be a leader, you must prioritize welfare and justice for the people and our subordinates and let us not tyrannize those who are weak because great power must be accompanied by great responsibility.
