Abstract

This pre-experiment research aims to evaluate whether randomized text is effective on maharah qira'ah of fifth grade students of SDIP YLPI Pekanbaru. This research used quantitative method with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample size of this research was 30 students. Based on the results of the study, the average value of the pre-test was 63 and the average value of the post-test was 80. Based on these average values, it can be seen that there was an increase in student scores before treatment and after treatment. in addition, after the T-Paired Sample T-Test test was conducted, the results showed that the Sig-(2 tailed) value was smaller than 0.000. Thus it can be concluded that randomized text is effective on maharah qira'ah of fifth grade students of SDIP YLPI Pekanbaru.
