Abstract

is one of the factors causing high costs during the drilling process. NPT is the time when drilling is stopped when the rig does not carry out drilling activities according to the initial plan. Therefore, a drilling process must be carried out that is effective and efficient in terms of time and cost. The method used is the reliability, availability and utility (RAU) method. The factors that cause NPT to occur lie in several things, including: availability of equipment, reliability of equipment when used, human error, and repair time. Activities included in the NPT are: repairing the rig carrier electrical system, repairing the swivel bearing on the Kelly, repairing the Kelly spinner, repairing the pump, repairing the MP 1 release valve, bit stuck, repairing the rotary table, repairing the relay valve on the rotary table, repairing the chain on the table rotary, repair of power tubing barrel, error in tubular tally, repair of key of key flange rotary drive, repair of main generator, repair of dynamo mud pump, repair of mud pump, WO mud pump, preventive maintenance of mud pump, repair of shaker, repair of super choke, BOP seal repair, BOP lifting preparation, BOP repair, leaking on cover seal of annular, BOP test, continue BOP double ram piston seal repair, items left in the well, roller crane repair, prepare replacement crane, spare barrel sling, IDS repair, hose cranes, hydraulic system repairs on track cranes, dozer repairs, damage to dozer track shoes, problems with crane hydraulic hoses, WO cranes, stopping operations due to incidents, and M/U barrel sling repairs. The NPT that occurred in the Hoisting System category was 23 hours, Circulating System was 2.75 hours, Rotary System was 38.5 hours, Power System was 42 hours, BOP was 41.5 hours, and in the "other" category was 188 .75 hours. And the total NPT that occurred within 1 year at PT. ABC RIG-X is 336.5 hours. This research also determines solutions to improve rig performance. Among the efforts that can be made to improve rig performance is by evaluating and monitoring maintenance programs to prevent repeated damage to engines and supporting equipment, providing original spare parts (consumable parts) for engines and critical equipment, increasing the competency of the maintenance team (mechanic & electrician) in the form of initial training for troubleshooting and providing a spare engine.
