Abstract

In general, ESP pump damage often occurs at PT. Bumi Siak Pusako is a leak in the pothead, where inside the pothead there is a sealing block that no longer seals due to high pressure and temperature. So PT. Bumi Siak Pusako found the best solution and innovated in preventing ESP cable deficiencies, namely repairing leaking potheads by using snap ring engineering to cover the gaps in ESP cable pothead leaks in a self-managed manner. This research is Field Realistic research using complex data based on field conditions. Pothead repairs using snap ring engineering, the production level is the same, there is no decrease or increase. Likewise, pothead repairs using 2nd party services and replacement using new ESP cables where the production level is the same, there is no change. The cost of repairing a pothead using a snap ring is IDR. 3,500 rupiah with a repair time of 1 day, while the cost of repairing the pothead using 2nd party services is Rp. 18.7 million rupiah with a repair time of 1 week, and for pothead repairs with the purchase of a new ESP cable for Rp. 593 million rupiah and takes 12-16 weeks. So it is much more profitable to repair potheads using snap ring engineering, both in terms of cost and time.
