Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of implementing the jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ learning achievement in Islamic Education subject at Al Fityah Junior High School IT Pekanbaru. This study used a quantitative method where the type of research was quasi-experimental research. The population in this study was all ninth-grade students at Al Fityah Junior High School IT Pekanbaru, while the sampling technique used total sampling, where the entire population was taken as a sample, with class IX B as the experimental group using the jigsaw cooperative learning model and class IX A as the control group using lecture-based learning. Data collection was done using documentation, observation, and tests, where tests were conducted in two ways: pretest and posttest. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class in the pretest were 72.6 and in the posttest were 79.6. Meanwhile, the control class's average learning outcomes in the pretest were 70.9 and in the posttest were 77.5. This indicates that there is a significant influence on the learning outcomes of ninth-grade students in class IX B at Al Fityah Junior High School IT Pekanbaru by implementing the jigsaw cooperative learning model. The t-test result showed that the t-value was greater than the critical t-value at a significance level of 5% (3.730 > 2.025), and the calculated sig. (2-tailed) value was smaller than the significance level of 5% (0.006 < 0.05). Thus, H0 was rejected, and Ha was accepted. The mean score of the experimental class (79.60) was higher than the mean score of the control class (77.50). Therefore, the difference in mean scores between the experimental and control classes was 2.10.
