Abstract

The development of physical facilities and infrastructure has an impact on environmental damage and is one of the causes of sustainable environmental damage. One effort to reduce this is by implementing the green building concept. The aim of this research is to analyze the application of the green building concept in the Riau Islamic Education Foundation Building using EDGE 3.0 software and provide optimization recommendations for improvements to aspects that do not meet green building standards based on EDGE 3.0 software. The method used in this research uses quantitative methods by carrying out simulations on the EDGE application. Data collection was carried out by collecting secondary data in the form of working drawings (as built drawings), 3D sketchup documents, and other supporting documents. The data that has been collected is input into the EDGE application to calculate energy, water and material efficiency levels. The results of the EDGE 3.0 assessment show that the Riau Islamic Education Foundation Building achieved an energy efficiency level of 8.93%, water efficiency level of 25.13% and materials efficiency level of 31.00%. Based on the results of this assessment, the Riau Islamic Education Foundation Building does not meet the minimum EDGE standard, namely EDGE Certified, at 20%. Optimization was carried out on the energy aspect, Point Energy Efficiences Measures 02 – Reflective Roofs, an increase in Energy efficiency of 22.98% was obtained
