Abstract
SDN 017 Suku Terasing is a public primary school located on Jalan Sosial Talang Jerinjing, Indragiri Hulu Regency. During the rainy season, SDN 017 Suku Terasing often experiences puddles and even flooding several times because the school yard does not have a drainage. In addition, during the dry season, this school will experience drought and clean water crisis. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to plan rainwater harvesting (PAH) and drainage channels to overcome the problems that occur at SDN 017 Suku Terasing. The method used in this research is the log-pearson III distribution method with a 10-year return period to calculate the rainfall plan, the mononobe method to find the intensity of rainfall using the rational method to determine the flow discharge. Based on the results of the analysis to be able to meet the needs of clean water at SDN 017 Suku Terasing, five rainwater harvesting points are planned with each dimension as follows : 1) The dimensions of rainwater harvesting through the A1 roof are 1.5 x 1.3 x 1.5 m with a guard height of 15 cm and a harvested water volume of 2.94 m³. 2) The dimensions of rainwater harvesting through the A2 roof are 1.5 x 1.4 x 1.5 with a guard height of 15 cm and a harvested rainwater volume of 3.1 m³. 3) The dimensions of rainwater harvesting through the A3 roof are 1.5 x 0.80 x 1 with a guard height of 10 cm and a harvested water volume of 1.2 m³. 4) The dimensions of rainwater harvesting through the A4 roof are 0.5 x 0.5 x 1 m with a guard height of 10 cm and a harvested water volume of 0.24 m³. 5) The dimensions of rainwater harvesting through the A5 roof are 1.5 x 0.75 x 1 with a guard height of 10 cm and a harvested water volume of 1.1 m³. The drainage dimensions are; 1) The channel height (y) to be planned is 0.122 m or 12.2 cm. 2) The height of the guard (w) to be planned is 0.012 m or 0.12 cm, and. 3) The channel width (b) to be planned is 0.244 m or 24.4 cm. If later the PAH and drainage have been realized, periodic maintenance should be carried out on the drainage channels and on the rainwater harvesting reservoir buildings that have been made, and make repairs if necessary.
