Abstract
School buildings serve as a primary component in assessing the quality of educational institutions. The feasibility of the building's physical condition along with the completeness of facilities and infrastructure becomes a benchmark for school quality. Various structural problems commonly encountered include water seepage on walls, peeling paint layers, floor cracks, and structural failures. These damages result in hindered learning processes and reduced comfort for building users. The decline in building quality occurs when structural elements experience reduced strength and durability due to a combination of internal and external loads exceeding the building's maximum capacity. The purpose of this research is to identify and calculate the percentage of damage level in the YLPI Islamic Junior High School building in Marpoyan, Pekanbaru City. This study utilizes a descriptive quantitative methodology incorporating direct observation and measurement to assess the building's damage patterns. Data collection was performed through field observations, encompassing both primary and secondary data, on the studied research object. The data analysis follows both the 2015 and 2023 Ministry of Education and Culture guidelines as reference standards. Damage mapping was conducted using AutoCAD 2019 software. The research findings indicate that the buildings experienced minor damage, with a total damage percentage of 0.68%, with the most significant damage found to be 1.05% in Building A and 0.84% in Building B. Other structural and non-structural components, including foundations, beams, floor slabs, stairs, roofs, as well as electrical, clean water, and wastewater drainage installations, showed no detectable damage. According to the Ministry of Education and Culture Guidelines on Infrastructure Identification and Maintenance Procedures for the Year 2023, this damage percentage is still classified as minor damage, as the value is ? 30%.
