Abstract

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MICROSOFT POWER POINT AS LEARNING MEDIA TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ OUTCOMES IN LEARNING ISLAMIC STUDIES AT SDS YPPI PERAWANG NURHALIZA 202410213 This study was motivated by the large number of students who obtained learning outcomes below the passing grade. This study aimed to investigate the implementation of Microsoft Power Point as learning media to improve Islamic Studies learning outcomes and increase the students’ outcomes in learning Islamic Studies by using Microsoft Power Point as learning media in grade V at SDS YPPI Perawang. The type of the study was classroom action research (CAR) with the subject of the study consisted of 13 students in grade V at SDS YPPI Perawang. The data collection techniques of the study were observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis techniques were carried out through qualitative and quantitative descriptive statistical data analysis. The action was stated to be successful if 80% of students reach the passing grade. The implementation of Microsoft PowerPoint as learning media was proven to improve students’ learning outcomes at SDS YPPI Perawang with the percentage of action in the pre-cycle was 30.77%, then it was 76.92% in cycle 1, then it was 100 % in cycle II. The magnitude of the increase in the students’ outcomes in learning Islamic Studies from pre-action to cycle I was 46.15%, and from cycle I to cycle II was 23.08%, while the increase of overall students’ learning outcomes from pre-action to cycle II was 69.23%.
