Abstract

Discipline in Learning at elementary schools played a crucial role in shaping students' character and academic achievement. This study aimed to examine the efforts made by Islamic Education teachers in fostering students' discipline in learning at Elementary School 05 Bukit Batu, Bengkalis Regency. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included interviews and observations, with the research informants comprising two Islamic Education teachers and one school principal. The findings revealed that teachers' efforts in shaping students' discipline were categorized into two aspects: time discipline and behavioral discipline. Efforts to promote time discipline included creating a learning environment with clear classroom rules, consistent implementation, providing educational sanctions, and rewarding disciplined behavior. Meanwhile, efforts to foster behavioral discipline involved teaching discipline values through interactive teaching methods, daily evaluations, and collaboration with parents. In conclusion, time and behavioral discipline were essential for developing positive habits in students, significantly impacting their academic performance and future success. Collaboration among teachers, students, and parents was key to successfully fostering discipline at Elementary School 05 Bukit Batu.
