Abstract

THE DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL OF VILLAGE- OWNED?ENTERPRISE (VOE) OF BUNGA SARI TOWARDS A SHARIA-BASED VOE IN TAPUNG JAYA VILLAGE, TANDUN DISTRICT, ROKAN HULU REGENCY UJANG YAYAN CAHYANA M S 182310304 This study was motivated by the Village-Owned Enterprise (VOE) of Bunga Sari which has not yet been a sharia-based VOE. VOE (or in Indonesian is called BUMDes) is a financial institution that plays an important role in economic development at the village level. Financial institutions that are based on sharia principles will provide better social and economic benefits for village communities. The aim of the study was to determine the development potential of BUMDes Bunga Sari, as well as to determine the inhibiting factors of BUMDes Bunga Sari in Tapung Jaya Village, Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency to become a Sharia-Based BUMDes. The type of the study was field research by using a qualitative method. The data sources of the study were from primary and secondary data. The data collection techniques of the study were observation, interviews and documentation and analyzed by using qualitative data analysis methods. The results of the study showed that the BUMDes Bunga Sari had great potential to transform into a sharia-based BUMDes, it was known based on the operational principles of sharia-based BUMDes that have been implemented by the BUMDes Bunga Sari.
