Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MODEL ON STUDENTS’ CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS IN LEARNING AL-QUR'AN HADITH AT MADRASAH ALIYAH MASMUR PEKANBARU BY: M. HANDI FURQON 192410013 This study aims to find out whether the problem-based learning model influences students’ critical thinking skills in learning Al-Qur'an hadith at Madrasah Aliyah Masmur Pekanbaru. The type of this study is quantitative correlational research. The subject of the study is all students at Madrasah Aliyah Masmur Pekanbaru and the object of the study is the influence of the problem-based learning model on students’ critical thinking skills in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith at Madrasah Aliyah Masmur Pekanbaru. The population of the study consists of 52 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it is known that there is an influence of the problembased learning model on students critical thinking skills in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith at Madrasah Aliyah Masmur Pekanbaru. Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, it is known that a significance value is 0.027, because 0.027 < 0.05 so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The results of the study show that 18.1% of students’ critical thinking skills are influenced by the problem-based learning model, while the remaining 81.9% are influenced by other factors. The magnitude of the influence on students’ critical thinking skills is 0.181 or 18.1%, which is included in the low category because it is in the range 0.00 - 1.99 as shown in the correlation coefficient interpretation table.
