Abstract

The aim of the study is to find out whether the implementation of the Iqra' method can improve students’ ability to read halq letters. This study has two cycles, each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Then, by implementing the Iqra' method, it turns out that it can improve students’ ability to read halq letters. It can be seen from the results of observations that have been done. The subject of the study is the students in grade V at SDN 019 Pandau Jaya Kampar, consisting of 30 students. The data collection techniques of the study are observation, tests and documentation. The results of the study show that the Iqra' method can improve students’ ability to read halq letters, with the improvement in cycle I was 69% and in cycle II was 89%. Which is categorized in a very high criteria.
