Abstract
Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE) as amended by Law Number 19 of 2016. So, there is no specific cyber crime law. Cyber crime is included in the category of acts prohibited in the ITE Law. Article 27 paragraph (1) states "Any person intentionally and without the right to distribute and/or transmit and/or make accessible Electronic Information and/or Electronic Documents that have content that violates morality". This study has a main problem: How is the Law Enforcement Against the Criminal Act of Distributing Electronic Information that Violates Morality in the Riau Police Jurisdiction? And What are the Obstacles in Law Enforcement Against the Criminal Act of Distributing Electronic Information that Violates Morality in the Riau Police Jurisdiction? Research Objectives: To Explain Law Enforcement Against Criminal Acts of Distributing Electronic Information that Violates Morality in the Jurisdiction of the Riau Police. And To Explain Obstacles in Law Enforcement Against Criminal Acts of Distributing Electronic Information that Violates Morality in the Jurisdiction of the Riau Police. The legal research conducted is sociological legal research, research that discusses the Applicability of positive law, the Influence of the application of positive law on people's lives, the Influence of non-legal factors on the formation of positive legal provisions, the Influence of non-legal factors on the application of positive legal provisions. In addition, sociological legal research can be in the form of research that seeks to see the correlation between law and society. Thus, it is expected to be able to reveal the effectiveness of the application of law in society and to be able to identify unwritten laws that apply to society.
