Abstract
The high economic demands require women to participate in improving it by entering the world of work, whether in industry or in the world of entertainment, or other workplaces without paying attention to their rights. Because they have greater risks, therefore female workers must also protected by the same rights as male workers. Employment Law no. 13 of 2003 provides a comprehensive framework for protecting the rights of women workers in Indonesia, covering various aspects from health and safety to discrimination and labor rights. This research has two problem formulations, namely, what is the legal protection for female workers who work at night at the Satu Kosong Pekanbaru Coffee Shop as viewed from Law no. 13 of 2003 concerning Employment. What are the rights and obligations of workers at the Satu Kosong Pekanbaru Coffee Shop who work at night. The research method used in this research is observational research, using a survey method, namely research by going directly into the field using interviews. In terms of its nature, this research is descriptive because this research aims to provide a clear and detailed picture of the problem that is the main topic of the researcher. The results of the research carried out are legal protection for female workers who work on night shifts if we look at Law no. 13 of 2003 concerning Employment includes protection of working hours, protection of morality and security, protection of holidays and leave, provision of food and drinks, as well as provision of employee pick-up and drop-off facilities. Furthermore, the results of surveys and interviews provide the fact that the protection rights for female workers who work night shifts at the Satu Kosong Coffee Shop have not been fulfilled in the form of providing nutritious food and drinks and providing transportation facilities for employees to pick up and drop off.
