Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of adding additives with Pertalite fuel on the performance and exhaust emissions of motorbike engines and to obtain the addition of additives with Pertalite fuel which has the best performance and exhaust emissions. The use of an eco racing mixture with Pertalite fuel has an influence on performance and exhaust emissions. Where the performance of the engine using the eco racing mixture with Pertalite fuel has better results and the exhaust emissions using the eco racing mixture with Pertalite fuel have lower results than using pure Pertalite fuel. Based on the results of performance testing and exhaust emissions on motorbike engines, the best is the addition of pertalite with 0.15 grams of eco racing additive, where the highest engine torque value obtained is 7.05 Nm, the highest effective shaft power is 3.68 Kw , The highest Average Effective Pressure is 2229 kPa, the lowest Fuel Consumption is 0.4004 kg/hour, the lowest Specific Fuel Consumption is 0.108 kg/hour.Kw, and the highest Thermal Efficiency is 2.82%. Meanwhile, flower gas emissions have the lowest Carbon Monoxide value, namely 0.18%, the lowest Hydrocarbon value, namely 420 ppm, then the highest Carbon Dioxide value, namely 0.7%, then it is also known that the lowest Oxygen value is 16.90%.
