Abstract

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF MAIN TASKS AND FUNCTIONS OF PROTOCOL IN SUPPORTING GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE DISTRICT ROKAN HILIR ABSTRACT Rointan 217121032 Effectiveness is a key element to achieve the goals or objectives that have been determined in every organization. Organizations in this case are able to compile and organize employee resources to achieve predetermined goals. The effectiveness of the implementation of the main tasks and functions is related to the success of implementing a well-planned and detailed plan in achieving the objectives. The role of the protocol is a milestone in the success of an event that is being implemented. The position of protocol is to provide the placement of government officials to get respect, treatment, and layout in official and unofficial events. This makes the position of protocol in government institutions important. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the implementation of main tasks and protocol functions in supporting government activities in Rokan Hilir district. The research method used is a qualitative method with primary data sources and secondary data collected by interviews, observation and documentation. There were 9 informants in this study. The results of the research show that the Implementation of Main Tasks and Protocol Functions in supporting government activities in Rokan Hilir Regency involves all employees in preparing official agendas. Not only that, the cooperation or communication that has been established with the Department of Transportation and Satpol PP has been well established. The strategy in carrying out its duties and functions is by making careful planning and dividing tasks for each employee. While the inhibiting factors are the absence of training conducted by the Protocol and Communication Section of the leadership to support the quality of existing human resources.
