Abstract

Numeracy literacy in Indonesia needs to be considered, because it is still low as revealed in the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) report. Students have difficulty understanding the context of mathematics, especially to solve numeracy literacy problems. This is because schools have not fully implemented numeracy literacy activities in mathematics learning and the lack of use of learning media that can improve numeracy literacy in students. Therefore, teaching materials are needed that can stimulate the development of students' numeracy literacy. The purpose of this research is to develop mathematical comics to improve numeracy literacy that meets the categories of valid, practical and effective. The researcher used development research with the ADDIE model. The subject of this study is 25 students of class VII.2 SMPN 38 Pekanbaru. The instruments used include questionnaires of media experts, material experts and numeracy literacy test questions. From the results of the research, teaching materials were developed in the form of mathematical comics to improve numeracy literacy in the building materials of prism and limas spaces that are valid, practical and effective.
