Abstract
This research was motivated by the limited knowledge of the society regarding the halal status of medicines and the high demand for halal pharmaceutical products. The formulation of this research was focused on assessing the society’s knowledge in the city of Pekanbaru regarding the halal status of medicines. The aim of this research was to determine the extent of the Muslim society's knowledge in Pekanbaru regarding the Halal status of medicines. The subjects of this research were the residents of Pekanbaru, while the object of the research was the level of knowledge of the Muslim community in Pekanbaru regarding the halal status of medicines. The data sources used in this research included primary and secondary data. Sampling was done using the Slovin formula, and the data collection technique involved the use of questionnaires. Quantitative methods were employed to analyze the data, with a research sample of 100 individuals. The results of this research revealed that the level of knowledge among the Muslim society regarding the halal status of medicines in Pekanbaru was p=75.16%, indicating that the analysis of the level of knowledge among the Muslim society in Pekanbaru regarding the halal status of medicines fell into the category of "knowing" with a percentage range of 61%-80%.
