Abstract

Old Dhekar Silat Pages are also often referred to as Old Dhekar Silat sosoran or the dhekar lomah Silat shelter. This Silat is usually displayed at weddings, welcoming guests, opening large events in the Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study aims to find out how the existence of silat, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. In writing this study also uses the method in it. The method used in this study is a descriptive analysis method using a qualitative approach. Data collection in this study through observation. Interviews and documentation directly to the field. And the theory used about existence, among others, according to Dagun in the book Philosophy of Existentialism (1990:19) states that every existing thing has an existence or it is an existence. Can be called existence if it has a form of existence, function, factors, inhibiting and supporting factors. From the results of the research conducted, it can be said that old dhekar sila exists and is well known by the local community and around Jaya Kenegerian Village, Kopah itself.
