Abstract

Cooperatives are a form of effort to improve the welfare of the people in the economy, various efforts are made to achieve this goal, the Siampo Pelangi Cooperative is a Village Unit Cooperative which includes the management of oil palm plantations, as a result problems arise related to the cooperative's financial reports, the management of the Siampo Pelangi Cooperative is not transparent regarding the financial reports and management of the cooperative, therefore on this occasion the author had the opportunity to conduct thesis research with the title Legal Protection of Members of the Siampo Pelangi Cooperative, Pesikaian Village, Cerenti District, Kuantan Singingi Regency Based on Law Number 25 of 1992 concerning Cooperatives. The formulation of the problem in this research is as follows: 1. What is the legal protection for members of the Siampo Pelangi Cooperative, Pesikaian Village, Cerenti District, Kuantan Singingi Regency? and 2. What is the form of management accountability for members of the Siampo Pelangi Cooperative, Pesikaian Village, Cerenti District, Kuantan Singingi Regency? The research method used is observational research which, seen from its nature, is analytical descriptive, the data of which uses primary data as the main data which goes directly to respondents to conduct interviews and uses secondary data as data to support the main problem being discussed. Analyze the data obtained using qualitative descriptive methods which the researcher will later link to theory and also statutory regulations that are in accordance with the researcher's problem formulation. The form of legal protection for members of the Siampo Pelangi cooperative is a form of preventive legal protection and repressive law for cooperative members according to Law Number 25 of 1992 concerning Cooperatives. And the form of accountability of the management towards members of the Siampo Pelangi Cooperative is contained in Article 34 of Law No. 25 of 1992 concerning Cooperatives.
