Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the applicable laws for protecting consumers who use the DANA application in payments using the QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) feature. Along with the progress of the times, technology has also experienced rapid development. This technological development is also felt in various fields, such as social, educational, and economic. This research analyzes technology in the economic field, namely electronic payments. Currently, digital payments are attracting the attention of Indonesian people, especially the Millennial generation and generation Z. The use of digital payments started in 2019 and continues to grow. Initially, digital payments used cards (e-money) for toll and bus payments. Furthermore, digital payments continue to experience changes where individuals can use smartphones to make payments, which are called digital wallets. This has led to many start-up companies developing digital wallet applications in Indonesia. Some digital wallets that will be popular in 2023 are GoPay, OVO, DANA, and LinkAja. However, the use of digital wallets still poses problems for users. Problems that arise in this area can be in the for of transaction errors by users. The use of digital wallets also experiences several problems. The features of the DANA digital wallet are not 100% perfect, there are several problems, such as poor networking and pending transactions. This research shows that the consumer protection law regarding digital payments has been regulated by Civil Code Article 1320, Member of the Board of Governors Regulation No. 21/18/PADG/2019, and PBI Law No. 11/12/PBI/2009 concerning Electronic Money. User knowledge about legal protection for digital payments is still minimal, so seminars from digital payment creators are needed. Keywords :
