Abstract

Sriheri Adyono.TY. Pineapple Farming Business Development Strategy in Kuala Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The research was advisored by Dr. Ir. Ujang Paman Ismail, M.Agr and Dr. Ir. Marliati, M.,Si Pineapple farming is a business of developing and selling pineapple products. Farming is done to provide a growing market for pineapple goods. Farmers have been unable to satisfy the market's high demand for pineapples, so it is important to establish a pineapple business to rectify the situation. The research aims to: 1) Characteristics of pineapple farmers and profiles of pineapple farming in Kuala Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, 2) Pineapple farming analysis 3) Development Plan for pineapple farming. This research is conducted using a survey. The research was carried out in the Kuala Cenaku District of Riau Province's Indragiri Hulu Regency. Both primary and secondary data are used in this research. The findings revealed that: 1) The productive farmer's age ranged from 20 - 72 years; 2) His education level was Elementary School; 3) He had his own business, and 4) He had eight years of farming experience. 2) provision of facilities for production 3) Agriculture still needs to comply with SOP; production variables for seed entrepreneurs employ 9,063 stems, 68.89 HKP of labor annually, and various instruments, including hoes, sickles, rickshaws, hand sprayers, and Agriculture as a whole costs Rp. 14,785,092.00 per year, but generates Rp. 16,416,789 per year in revenue. The achieved RCR is 2.04, which is > 1, indicating profitability. 4) Agricultural extension workers have a purpose and function to enhance farmers' income in organizations supporting farming. 5) The SO approach was used to achieve the pineapple development strategy, which included employing government backing and land already available to promote pineapple production, increase the continuity of pineapple goods, apply technology, and optimize promotion.
