Abstract
This research was motivated by the increasing number of farmers engaging in profit-sharing collaborations. In Islam, the profit-sharing system takes various contractual forms, one of which is the Muzara'ah contract and the Musaqah contract. The Musaqah contract is a simpler form of Muzara'ah, where the cultivator is only responsible for irrigation and land maintenance. The focus of this research was the profit-sharing system in pineapple farming examined from the perspective of Islamic business ethics among pineapple farmers in Sungai Rawa, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. The objective of this research was to assess the Islamic business ethics perspective on the implementation of the profit-sharing system in pineapple farming in Sungai Rawa, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. The research was qualitative in nature to obtain valid data. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data sources were both primary and secondary. The findings of this research indicated that the profit-sharing system for pineapple farming land management in Sungai Rawa, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, aligned with the principles of Islamic business ethics, based on the theory proposed by Imaddudin. This theory outlines five dimensions for measuring the profit-sharing system according to the principles of Islamic business ethics: unity (tauhid), balance (justice), free will, truthfulness/honesty, and responsibility. These five dimensions were effectively applied by pineapple farmers in Sungai Rawa, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, and the system operated in accordance with Islamic business ethics.
