Abstract

ABSTRACT Not all marriages run as smoothly as all couples hope. There are obstacles that can cause a marriage to not run smoothly, and one solution for couples who are unable to maintain their marriage is divorce. This does not exclude Civil Servants, even though Civil Servants are representatives of the State and their behavior is an example or role model for the people, quite a few Civil Servants have domestic problems. The enactment of Government Regulation Number 10 of 1983 which has been amended to become Government Regulation Number 45 of 1990 is useful as a reference for Civil Servants undergoing divorce in order to reduce the rate of Civil Servant divorce which often occurs, in fact the problems that occur cannot be handled. The research was conducted with the aim of knowing the administrative procedures for civil servant divorce and the judge's opinion regarding civil servant divorce. This research is a survey study in which the author observes directly in the field, making it an observational research study. The results of the research show that in the legal regulations regarding divorce administration procedures for Civil Servants at the Rengat Religious Court, permission from superiors is a mandatory requirement which must be accompanied by supporting reasons related to marriages that cannot be maintained and continued, if they do not get permission and still want to continuing the divorce process, Civil Servants are required to prepare a statement of readiness to accept the risks and consequences that will be received in the future, then the judge of the Rengat Religious Court explained that the purpose of this regulation is as a form of discipline for employees who are considered role models by ordinary people.
