Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of arm muscle power and hand eye coordination to the free throw ability of Ekstrakurikuler SMAN 1 Seberida players. The type of this research is multiple correlation. The population and sample in this study were the players of Ekstrakurikuler SMAN 1 Seberida, amounting to 20 people. The research instrument used was an overhead medicine ball throw test, an eye-hand coordination test and a basketball jump shoot ability test. The data analysis technique used is the multiple correlation value test. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the following conclusions can be drawn (1) There is a contribution of arm muscle power to the free throw ability of Ekstrakurikuler SMAN 1 Seberida players of 47.88% with rcount = 0.692 with rtable = 0.444, (2) There are the contribution of eye and hand coordination to the jump shoot ability of ekstrakurikuler SMAN 1 Seberida players is 54.16% with rcount = 0.736 with rtable = 0.444, (3) There is a contribution of arm muscle power and eye and hand coordination to the free throw ability of Ekstrakurikuler SMAN 1 Seberida is 58.22% with rcount = 0.763 with rtable = 0.444.
