Abstract
“EFFECT OF VIBRATION ON CONCRETE QUALITY IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE PLASTIC PHASE TO THE SETTING PHASE” By : Syamsul Asril NPM: 203 121 014 Abstract The process of casting and compacting the concrete road is of great concern, one of which is the vibration and time of the vehicles hanging in the next lane when the concrete enters the plastic phase and the setting phase. Both of these phases need to be suppressed because it is estimated that the vibration and the direction of time of the vehicle will greatly affect the quality of the concrete without realizing it which can cause damage to the concrete next to it. Related to this description, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect value on each phase when vibration is given, to determine the effect of vibration on concrete quality using the time phase starting from the plastic phase to the setting phase and to find out the most appropriate time to dry the strips when concrete from the plastic phase to the setting phase. The method used in this study is to use a vibration modification machine simulation by placing concrete test objects according to the age of the plastic phase concrete and phase settings. The magnitude of the vibration frequency of the vibrated vehicle is 3 Hertz by adding some distance between the predetermined time phases. The vibration value used is in accordance with the field conditions of the vehicle plunging the road that is being repaired/constructed in an area that is traversed by heavy traffic and large loads, namely the Gajah Mada Duri road area. The results showed that the effect of vibration on the condition of the plastic phase of the vibrated concrete will still meet the quality of concrete with an average value of Fs 51.99 Kg/cm 2 > Fs 45. While the Setting phase does not meet the quality of concrete with an average value of Fs 42, 78 Kg/cm 2 < Fs 45. This means that vibration due to passing vehicles will have a on the quality of the concrete during the setting phase.
