Abstract

Damage to the road will cause a lot of losses that can be felt by users directly, because it will hamper the speed and comfort of road users and cause many victims. There are various causes that can cause road damage. One of the causes of road damage is due to former utility excavations. Damage caused by utility cuts can reduce the service life of roads by up to half. This study aims to identify the level of damage to the road with the type of utility cut patching so that it can find out the cause and handling of the road damage. The research method in determining the level of road damage is carried out by the PCI method with the type of road damage utility cut patching. Then the data collection technique used is primary data obtained from the results of measurements and direct surveys in the field and secondary data obtained from related agencies that handle WWTP work. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the type of road damage that occurs in the WWTP utility work is utility cut patching with the result that the percentage of road damage can be categorized as in very good condition or Very Good with a value of 84.83. The special cause of damage to the WWTP work path is that there is an "affected zone" area that occurs after the restoration of the pavement which causes the critical pavement zone to become weaker, resulting in an easier level of damage to occur. based on references and literature studies that have been carried out the T-Section Method is an effective solution in handling damage caused by utility cuts.
