Abstract

Subgrade soil is the lowest layer of highway pavement, which is the foundation for the pavement above it. A good subgrade for road pavement construction is the subgrade originating from the location itself in the surrounding area, which has been compacted to a good degree of carrying capacity. The purpose of this study is to discuss the study of the CBR subgrade of a 950-meter road, namely to find the relationship between CBR Dcp versus Density Sand cone and the relationship between CBR Dcp and CBR Sand cone. The research method was carried out in the field to obtain CBR and density values, using the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer and Sand Cone test equipment. And for laboratory research carried out to obtain maximum density (Density Max), as well as optimum water content (Optimum Water Content), using the Modified Proctor Test equipment. The results obtained from the Correlation of the CBR Dcp versus Density Sand cone relationship give a linear Trendline relationship, which produces a determinant coefficient of R² = 0,320, this shows that the percentage of data variation that can be explained by this model is 32,00 %. And the correlation of CBR Dcp versus CBR Sand cone gives a linear trendline relationship, which produces a determinant coefficient of R² = 0,381, which indicates that the percentage of data variation that can be explained by this model is 38,10 %.
