Abstract

Modules are teaching materials that are designed systematically based on a specific curriculum and are packaged in the form of the smallest learning units and allow them to be studied independently in a unit of time so that students master the competencies being taught. This study aims to determine the validity and practicality of developing science learning modules as learning guidelines for class VII students of SMP/MTS. This type of research is a research and development method with the ADDIE model. The data collection used is a questionnaire which consists of 4 aspects, namely, the display aspect, the presentation aspect, the scientific linkage aspect and the benefit aspect. The results showed that overall the average percentage of aspects with a percentage of 93.44% was in a very valid category, the highest response was in the display aspect with a percentage of 94.43% in a very valid category, and the lowest response was in the presentation aspect with a percentage of 92 .69% valid category. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the Science Module teaching materials are not yet available in SMP/MTS schools. Therefore, it is necessary to develop Science Module teaching materials for class VII science subjects in order to make it easier for students to understand the material.
