Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between motivation and science learning outcomes for class VIII MTs Masmur Pekanbaru for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research uses a correlational method. The population in this study were all class VIII students at MTs Masmur Pekanbaru with a total of 68 students. The sample in this study was 68 students using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis, data validity testing, empirical and construct validation testing, instrument reliability testing. The questionnaire distributed consisted of 34 statement items. The research results showed that the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes was (r) 0.511. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between learning motivation and science learning outcomes for class VIII students at MTs Masmur Pekanbaru for the 2022/2023 academic year with a correlation value of 0.511 which is quite strong criteria.
