Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on the mathematical concept abilities of Class VIII students at MTs Miftahul Jannah Peranap. The method used was a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was all students in class VIII MTs Miftahul Jannah Peranap with the sample consisting of two classes, namely VIII.A as the experimental class and class VIII.B as the control class. . The data collection technique used by researchers is a test technique in the form of a pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. From the research results it was found that or . So, is rejected and is accepted so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on the mathematical concept abilities of Class VIII students at MTs Miftahul Jannah Peranap.
