Abstract
Attitude is a set of ideas, sentiments, values, and behavioral patterns that create a person's overall reaction or attitude towards something. The aim of this research is to find out the attitudes of the 3rd semester students towards the British Council Platform in the listening learning process. This research employed a qualitative research. Researcher took 56 respondents from classes 3A and 3B English Language Education at Universitas Islam Riau as samples. The research Insruments were questionnaires and Interviews. In this research there are three indicators, namely affective indicators, behavioral indicators and cognitive indicators. The results of the analysis show that in terms of the affective indicators 79.6% of the students have a positive attitude, 20.4% of the students have a negative attitude, on behavioral indicators, 74% of the students have positive attitude, 26% of the students have negative attitudes, and on cognitive indicators, 79% of the students have positive attitude, and 21% of the students have negative attitude. In conclusion the students show a positive attitude towards the British Council platform, that British Council Platform can improve listening skills, pronunciation and knowledge of English.
