Abstract
The development of information and communication technology has been intense in the 4.0 era, when information can be accessed easily and quickly through existing technology so that technology makes it very easy for users. The internet plays such a role in human life, because by using the internet there are many needs that exist within humans. Instagram is used as a medium for building self-image or self-image, this highlights the attention of the wider community and one of the groups that shape self-image on Instagram is Selebgram. The research was conducted using qualitative methods. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data reduction and drawing conclusions. This research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru which was studied using the theory of Symbolic Interaction which put forward three concepts, namely Mind, Self, and Society about how to construct a female celebrity's self-image. The results of the study show that there are three thoughts expressed by other people towards female celebrities in Pekanbaru City, namely content creators, career women, and hard workers. There are three Self (Self) in this study, namely building finance, building relationships, and seeking information. There are three Societies in this study, namely figure, creative, and innovative.
