Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between arm muscle power and hand eye coordination on the service results of the volleyball game for the Belimbing Village Team, Batang Gangsal District, Indragiri Hulu. This type of research is correlational research. The population in this study were athletes of the Ganesha Volleyball Club, totaling 12 people. The sampling technique was total sampling, thus the number of samples was 12 people. The instrument used is a medicine overhead ball throwing test, tennis ball throwing and service tests on volleyball. The data analysis technique is product moment correlation and multiple correlation. Based on the results of the study, the value of rx1y = 0.592, the value of t-count x1y = 2.32. the value of rx2y = 0.681, the value of t count x2y = 2.94. value of rx1x2y = 0.872. The conclusions of this study are: 1) There is a relationship between arm muscle power and the result of serving on volleyball with a percentage of 35.1%. The results of the calculation of the correlation obtained rcount value of 0.592 > r table = 0.576. 2) There is a relationship between hand eye coordination and the result of serving on volleyball with a percentage of 46.4%. The calculated r value is 0.681> r table = 0.576. 3) There is a relationship between eye-hand coordination and arm muscle power and the service results on volleyball for the Belimbing Village Team Players, Batang Gangsal District, Indragiri Hulu with a percentage of 75.96%. The calculation results obtained that the multiple correlation coefficient rcount is 0.872 > r table = 0.576.
