Abstract
THE INFLUENCE OF LEARNING DISCIPLINE AND PARENTS' ATTENTION ON STUDENTS' LEARNING OUTCOMES IN SEMESTER III, V, AND VII IN ACCOUNTING EDUCATION FACULTY OF TEACHING AND EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES, UNIVERSITAS ISLAM RIAU BY DENI ARIANTO NPM : 176810246 ABSTRACT This research is a comparative causal study which aims to determine the effect of learning discipline (X1), parental attention (X2) on learning outcomes (Y). This research is an ex-post facto study that examines variables whose events occurred before the study (Suharsimi, 2013:17). This study also uses a correlation research method with a quantitative approach. A quantitative approach whose development uses descriptive methods in the form of numbers, where the results of the analysis are presented in a concise but informative narrative. The place for this research will be in the Accounting Education Study Program FKIP UIR. When this research was carried out after taking the proposal seminar exam. In this study, the population was Semester III, V and VII Accounting Education FKIP UIR students, totaling 42 people. The sampling technique used in this study uses the Total Sampling technique. According to Sugiyono (2014: 65) says that total sampling is a sampling technique where the number of samples is equal to the population. Based on the explanation above, the samples in this study were 42 people. Based on the research that has been carried out in the accounting education study program, it can be concluded that there is no positive and significant effect of learning discipline and parental attention together on student learning outcomes in semesters III, V, VII of Accounting Education, with an Fcount value of 0.336 with a Ftable value of 3.23 so that the value of Fcount < Ftable or 0.336 < 3.23, with a significant level of 0.717 > 0.05 then H0 is accepted and H3 is rejected, it can be concluded that the variables of learning discipline (X1) and parental attention (X2) are simultaneously not has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in semesters III, V, VII of the Accounting Education Faculty of Teaching and Education, Islamic University of Riau.
