Abstract
This research aims to determine the extent to which the effect of motivation (X) on the interest in becoming an accounting teacher (Y) in Accounting Education Study Program students at the Islamic University of Riau. This research uses explanatory quantitative methods with the help of SPSS Version 25.00. The population and sample in this research were FKIP Accounting students in semesters 1, 3, 5 and 7 of 64 people. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. Data collection techniques in this research used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis by using a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it is concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between motivation on interest in becoming an accounting teacher in students of FKIP Accounting, Islamic University of Riau. It is known from the results of the analysis that the tcount is 3.011 > 1.996, so it can be concluded that the motivation variable (X) influences the interest in becoming an accounting teacher (Y) variable. Thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
