Abstract

TEST OF THE INHIBITORY POWER OF CROWN DEWA LEAF EXTRACT (Phaleria macrocarpa L) AGAINST Aeromanas salmonicida, Pseudomonas aeruginosa AND Edwardsiella ictaluri BACTERIA” under the guidance of Mr. Dr. Jarod Setiaji, S.Pi., M.Sc. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of Mahkota Dewa leaf extract to inhibit the growth of A. salmonicida, P. aeruginosa and E. ictaluri bacteria and to determine the best extract concentration to inhibit the growth of A. salmonicida bacteria. , P. aeruginosa and E. ictaluri. The materials used in this study were Mahkota dewa leaf extract, bacteria A. salmonicida, P. aeruginosa and E. ictaluri, ethanol, methanol, NB, NA, disc paper and distilled water. The method used is an experimental method using the Kirby-Bauer disc method, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 2 repetitions, namely: P1 10% extract concentration, P2 20% extract concentration, P3 30% extract concentration, P4 extract concentration of 40%, P5 extract concentration of 50%. The results of this study showed that the leaf extract of Mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa L) positively contained alkaloids, saponins and terpenoids. The inhibitory power of Mahkota dewa leaf extract on the growth of A. salmonicida bacteria at a concentration of 10% to 50% is in the strong category. The inhibitory power of Mahkota dewa leaf extract on the growth of P. aeruginosa and E. ictaluri bacteria at a concentration of 10% is classified as medium category and concentrations of 20% to 50% are classified as strong category
