Abstract

This study aims to find out about the learning of Dance for Class X of SMK Taruna Masmur Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The theory used by Oemar Hamalik. The approach used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative data. Cultural arts learning consists of three stages of activities including introduction, core activities, and closing activities. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation through learning arts and culture. The subjects of this study were one art and culture teacher and 12 class X TKJ SMK Taruna Masmur Pekanbaru for the 2022/2023 academic year. The result of conducting this research is that the curriculum used by SMK Taruna Masmur Pekanbaru already uses an independent learning curriculum, and uses Learning Outcomes, Learning Objectives, Learning Objectives Flow and Teaching Modules in accordance with those set by the government for the equivalent SMK level. The learning used is the method of group discussion, question and answer, and assignments. The material studied is about Indonesian dance (recurring bulian dance) with an allotted time of 3 meetings x 2 hours of lessons @ 45 minutes. The learning outcomes of students that students are able to learn dance in groups well in class with the existence of dance facilities and infrastructure at school, and students can learn well which can be seen from the evaluation of students.
