Abstract

Strategy for Banana Sale Agroindustry Business Development in Tanah Datar Village, Rengat Barat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau, Under the Guidance of Mr. Khairizal, SP, M.MA Banana Sale is a snack made from fresh bananas which are thinly sliced and then dried in the sun to reduce their water content. Sale bananas are generally produced by home industries or household scale. This study aims to analyze: (1) Characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles. (2) Use of production technology, production factors, production processes, production costs, production, prices, income, efficiency and added value of the banana sale business. (3) Identification of external and internal factors that influence the development of a banana sale business. (4) Determine alternative business development strategies to be implemented in the banana sale agro-industry business. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from October 2022 to March 2023. This research used a survey method in the Lizajaya banana sales business. The data collected consists of secondary data and primary data. Characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles are analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively, production technology, factors of production, production processes, production costs, production, prices, income, efficiency and added value using descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis, internal and external factors using qualitative analysis and development strategy using SWOT analysis and QSPM. The results of this study indicate that employers and workers are of productive age with an average age of 35.2 years, an average education level of 10 years, an entrepreneur's experience of 3 years with a total of 2 dependents of the entrepreneur's family. Entrepreneurs have been running a banana sale business for 3 years, starting in 2018 with their own sources of capital and this business already has the trademark "Lizajaya". The total production cost is Rp. 794,700/production process. The resulting production is 13 Kg, with a gross income of Rp. 1,290,000/production process and a net income of Rp. 495,300/production process with a business efficiency of 1.62, with added value of Rp. 6001.15/Kg. The results of the SWOT metric analysis obtained coordinates (0.45 : 0.79) which coordinates are located in quadrant I (one) of the SO strategy, namely: Maintaining quality, potential of natural resources and human resources and products to increase consumers and improve product quality. The priority strategy that can be carried out is to improve modern technology for business progress with a STAS value of 6,940.
