Abstract
This research was carried out for 14 days starting from December to January 2023 at the Fish Seed Center (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the effect of the percentage of fermented bread and tofu pulp on the growth and production of maggot (Hermetia illucens). The method used was a complete Randomized Design (RAL) of 5 treatments with 3 repetitions, namely, P1 = afkir bread (50%) + tofu pulp (50%), P2 = afkir bread (55%) + tofu pulp (45%), P3 = afkir bread (60%) + tofu pulp (40%), P4 = afkir bread (65%) + tofu pulp (35%) and P5 = afkir bread (70%) + tofu pulp (30%). The results obtained the best combination of nutrients in P4 treatment with weight growth of 0.29 gr, length growth of 1.62 cm, daily growth rate of 2.076% and production of 600 gr. The highest protein content test results were obtained at P4 of 41.21%. Environmental parameters are temperature ranging from 34-43oC, humidity 70-94% and pH 6.5-6.9.
