Abstract
Feasibility Analysis of Coffee Shop Business in Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City Riau Province (Case Study: Coffee Shop Dakopat), Supervisor by Dr. Azharuddin M. Amin, M.Sc. The coffee industry in Indonesia is very diverse from small-scale to multinational-scale coffee industries. Coffee shop is one of the coffee businesses experiencing growth significantly. This study aims to analyze: 1) Characteristics of entrepreneurs and profiles of the Dakopat coffee shop business, 2) Availability, acquisition and use of raw and supporting materials in the Dakopat coffee shop business, 3) Feasibility of the Dakopat coffee shop business from non-financial and financial aspects, and 4) The sensitivity of the Dakopat coffee shop business to increasing production costs, decreasing selling prices and decreasing the number of customers. A case study method was used in this study, in the Dakopat coffee shop business in Marpoyan Damai District Pekanbaru City Riau Province. This research was conducted for ten months starting from September 2022 to February 2023. The respondents in this study was the owner of the Dakopat coffee shop business. Data analysis uses descriptive quantitative and qualitative analyses covering non-financial aspects (market and marketing, technical and technological, environmental, and legal aspects) and financial aspects through four investment criteria (NPV, IRR, Net B/C Ratio and Payback Period) and sensitivity was analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the characteristics of entrepreneurs were in the productive age group, namely 28 years old, 12 years of education (SMA), 4 years of business experience and 2 number of families. Micro-scale businesses that use a worker in the family and the source of capital by equity. Availability, acquisition and use of raw supporting materials obtained directly from suppliers both online and directly in the local market. Non-financial feasibility aspects consist of market and marketing, technical and technological, and environmental aspects of the Dakopat coffee shop business was feasible, but for legal aspects it was not feasible because they have not obtained licensing documents that support business legality. The financial feasibility of the Dakopat coffee shop business was also feasible to develop for the next 10 years, because has NPV value of IDR 92,331,567, IRR of 81.85%, Net B/C of 5.43 and payback period of 1 year 6 month 10 days. Based on the sensitivity analysis of the increase in price of production inputs by 7.69%, the decrease in the selling price of coffee drinks by 7.24%, and the decrease in the number of customers by 3.24%. The Dakopat coffee shop business was still feasible to develop because it still meets the requirements of 4 investment criteria, namely NPV > 0, Net B/C > 1, IRR > i (12%) and payback period < business life (10 years).
