Abstract
This study aims to describe the values of character education in the song Pelalawan created by H.T. Azmun Ja'far in Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. The theory used is the theory of Ratna Megawangi (2004). In character education there are nine character values, of which these nine character values are, 1) Love of God and all of His creation, 2) Independence and responsibility, 3) Honesty/trustworthy, wise, 4) Respectful and polite, 5) Generous, helpful and cooperative, 6) Confident, creative and hardworking, 7) Leadership and fairness, 8) Kind and humble , 9) Tolerance, peace and unity. This study uses qualitative research methods and uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are the value of character education in the song Pelalawan created by H.T Azmun Jaafar 1) the love of God and all of his creations is the pillar of God's love and all of his creations are the main points that are taught to someone to believe in the existence of the Creator 2) the value of character education responsibility is moral that natural 3) The value of character education of helping and cooperation is a moral that must be applied in our lives 4) The value of character education of leadership and justice 5) The value of character education of tolerance, peace and unity is To maintain integrity, all its people must have high tolerance, love peace and unity. For example, by not discriminating against race, ethnicity and religion.
