Abstract
This study aims to determine the main effect and interaction of Bokashi cow dung and KCl on the growth and yield of shallots. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, Km. 11 Kelurahan Air Cold, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru for 3 months from August to October 2022. This study used a factorial complete randomized design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the Bokashi dose of cow manure which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 1, 2 and 3 kg per plot and the second factor was KCl with 4 levels namely 0, 10, 20 and 30 g per plot. Parameters observed were: plant height, relative growth rate, harvest age, number of tubers per hill, wet tuber weight per hill, dry tuber weight per hill and tuber weight loss. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ follow-up test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Bokashi cow manure and KCl had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, relative growth rate, number of tubers per hill, wet tuber weight per hill, dry tuber weight per hill and tuber weight loss. The best treatment was a combination of Bokashi cow manure 3 kg per plot and 20 g KCl per plot. The main effect of real cow dung Bokashi on all observation parameters. The best treatment is a dose of 3 kg per plot. The main effect of KCl fertilizer application is significant for all observed parameters. The best treatment with a dose of 20 g per plot.
