Abstract

under the guidance of Mr. Ir. Iskandar Johan, M.Si. This research was conducted for 21 days starting in March 2023 at the Fish Seed Center (BBI), Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the effect of adding bromelin enzyme to feed on survival and growth of Asian redtail catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) seeds. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely treatment P0 = control (without 0.00% bromelain enzyme), P1 = bromelain enzyme with a dose of 1.00%, P2 = 1.50%, P3 = 2.00 % and P4 = 2.50 %/g feed. The Asian redtail catfish used were 30 days old with a weight of 1.37-1.60 g/head and a length of 0.93-1.00 cm/head. The seeds were obtained from the Bayo Rambe Fish Farm which is located in Simpang Tiga, Kec. Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City. The results showed that the addition of the bromelain enzyme to the feed had no significant effect on survival, weight and length growth, daily growth rate and feed conversion value of Asian redtail catfish fry. The best addition of bromelain enzymes to feed was obtained in treatment P3, namely survival of 83.33 ± 11.55%, absolute weight growth of 3.03 ± 0.15 g, absolute length growth of 1.43 ± 0.21 cm, daily growth rate 14.44 ± 0.73 % and feed conversion value of 1.77 ± 0.28. Water quality parameters are temperature 26-30 o C, pH 5.44-6.82, dissolved oxygen 4.5-5.5 mg L -1 and ammonia 0.00-0.11 mg L -1
