Abstract
“EFFECT OF INCREASING BIO CATFISH DOSAGE ON LIFE AND GROWTH BAUNG FISH SEEDS (Hemibagrus nemurus)” under the guidance of Mr. Ir. T. Iskandar Johan, M.Si. The research was carried out for 30 days, starting from March to April 2023 at the Fish Seed Center (BBI), Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. This research aims to determine the effect of increasing the dose of bio catfish on the survival and growth of baung fish (Hemibagrus nemurus) fry. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely treatment P1 = giving bio catfish 0.045 ml/fish, P2 = 0.060 ml/fish, P3 = 0.075 ml/fish, P4 = 0.090 ml/fish and P5 = 0.105 ml/head. The average weight of baung fish seeds used was 2.06 g/fish with a length of 5.45 cm/fish. Baung fish seeds were obtained from a hatchery located on Jl. Mintan Podomoro II Perum Bukitmas Simpang Tiga, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The results of the research obtained the highest survival in the P3, P4 and P5 treatments of 86.67 ± 2.89 %, the highest absolute weight growth in the P3 treatment of 3.50 ± 0.10 gr, absolute length of 3.03 ± 0.06 cm , the daily growth rate was 11.67 ± 0.34 % and the feed conversion value was 2.67 ± 0.12. Water quality parameters are temperature ranging from 26-30oC, pH 5.44 – 6.82, dissolved oxygen 4.5 – 5.5 mg/L and Ammonia 0.00-0.11 mg/L.
